Description
Hardy kiwi (Actinidia arguta), commonly called kiwiberry or mini kiwi, is a small, smooth-skinned relative of traditional kiwifruit that can be eaten whole without peeling. The fruits range from green to reddish-purple depending on the cultivar, with tender edible skin, juicy green flesh, and numerous tiny seeds. Their sweet-tart flavor resembles kiwifruit but is often more aromatic and intensely sweet when fully ripe. Kiwiberries provide vitamin C, fiber, lutein, polyphenols, flavonoids, and unusually high amounts of myo-inositol in some cultivars. Enjoy them whole as a snack or add them to fruit salads, yogurt, breakfast bowls, smoothies, and desserts.
