Cranberry-Pear Sauce (refined sugar-free)

This year's cranberry sauce recipe uses ripe pears to sweeten up the tart and tangy cranberries. I've added a smidgen of coconut sugar to help balance the flavors. Coconut sugar is a low glycemic sweetener. This recipe can be made days ahead of Thanksgiving day and served cold or warm.

Black Quinoa and Roasted Pumpkin Salad

These photos use a local, pastured, organic chicken, but I cook a whole turkey the same way using a larger stainless steel roasting pan.

Gluten-Free Pumpkin Quinoa Cornbread

This pumpkin cornbread recipe uses quinoa flour as part of the ingredients, though the overall cornbread flavors are not overpowered by quinoa's strong taste. Adding in a whole cup of pumpkin puree adds a touch of sweetness that creates balanced flavors and a wonderfully moist cornbread.
