When you are craving a chocolate treat but don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, make blender brownies! The combination of the oats and flaxseeds creates a lovely and gooey egg-free and gluten-free brownie that everyone can enjoy. Serve with vanilla coconut ice cream and fresh raspberries for a special birthday treat! Oats are high in compounds called beta-glucans. These pre-biotic compounds feed beneficial gut microbes that then increase production of short chain fatty acids (SCFAs). SCFAs then, in turn, help reduce gut inflammation, maintain gut barrier integrity, and promote immune health balance.

Ingredients
1 cups rolled oats
½ cups cacao powder
½ cups coconut sugar
3 tablespoons golden flaxseeds
½ cups melted coconut oil (or avocado oil)
6 tablespoons water
¼ cups maple syrup
2 tablespoons creamy roasted almond butter
1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
¾ teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoons baking soda
¼ teaspoons fine sea salt
¼ cups dark chocolate chips
