A creamy, harissa-spiced dressing made from soaked raw walnuts is tossed with shaved raw brussels sprouts, pomegranate, dates, and apples to create a flavor-packed anti-inflammatory winter salad perfect for the holidays! Use a food processor fitted with the slicing disc to quickly shave the brussels sprouts in minutes!

Preparation Note

Place the walnuts into a bowl and cover with warm water. Allow them to soak on your counter for 3 to 6 hours. Then drain and rinse.

Salad

1½ pounds brussels sprouts trimmed
1 pomegranates arils removed
1 large apples cored and chopped
8 large medjool dates pitted and chopped
4 green onions sliced

Dressing

¾ cups raw walnuts (soaked for 3 to 6 hours)
6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
4 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 cloves garlic peeled
½ teaspoons sea salt
2 teaspoons harissa seasoning
