Baharat seasoning is a Middle Eastern spice blend made from ground cumin, coriander, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, allspice, rose petals, ginger, and nutmeg. It is delicious used in both meat and legume recipes. Serve this winter salad for a light lunch or as part of a nourishing holiday meal. 

Ingredients

Chickpeas

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1½ cups cooked chickpeas rinsed and drained
2 teaspoons baharat seasoning
¼ teaspoons sea salt

Salad

1 heads romaine lettuce chopped
3 cups baby arugula
1 pomegranates
3 green onions sliced

Dressing

4 tablespoons lemon juice
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
4 tablespoons sesame tahini
2 tablespoons water
1 cloves garlic crushed
½ teaspoons sea salt
