Filet mignon is the most tender cut of beef available. If you are not accustomed to eating meat, and would like to incorporate more of this nutrient-dense food, I would suggest going to your local butcher or market and looking for pasture-raised or pasture-finished filet mignon. It is very easy to cook and incredibly flavorful and tender.
Preparation Note
It is best to let the steaks come to room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes before cooking. This ensures they cook evenly and quickly.
