Steak is a favorite of many and simple to prepare at home. I like to use this technique to cook New York strip steak, but other cuts such as rib-eye or chuck-eye steak will also work. Do your best to purchase the best cut of steak you can afford, and consider thinking of it as a component of your meal rather than the main dish. Serve with Turnip Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Kale, or Roasted Carrots or Squash and a Green Salad to round out the meal.
