Green beans are a vegetable loved by many, and this dish comes together in a flash. Serve it for your next roasted chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, or with a comforting meal of pork chops.

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 pounds green beans ends trimmed
½ teaspoons kosher salt
¼ teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
cups raw almonds roughly chopped
3 cloves garlic peeled and very thinly sliced
